Academic Fora are an important aspect of contributing towards achieving the MANU AO goal of advancing Māori scholarship. Academic Fora are held once a year on a relevant topic to academics in which parameters of Māori scholarship are clarified and implications for tertiary education policy identified.
An academic forum is nationally co-ordinated once Te Kāhui Amokura decides the topic for discussion. Members of the Inter-University forum usually include members of Te Kāhui Amokura and other invited partipants.
