Leadership

As the contract for the MANU AO Academy has ceased, please feel free to utilise the on-line resources available.

The MANU AO goal of accelerating Māori leadership is achieved through the following principal activities:

  • Leadership Wānanga – Three, 2-day sessions during the academic year for about 30 emerging academic (and professional) leaders on a range of political, economic and social issues fronted by Māori leaders.
  • Leaders' Workshops – A series of workshops on leadership conducted at various centers around the country for emerging and experienced Māori leaders and managers.
  • Leadership Symposium – An international event on leadership planned for 2011 involving a partnership with key stakeholders including Ngā Pae o te Maramatangā and several Māori professional bodies.
  • Monday Motivator – A regular Monday motivational featuring the sayings of our tupuna (whakatauki) with contemporary inspirational messages from Māori leaders, usually related to a current event.
